When an electric current is applied to the actuator, the fire-fighting valve is open. When the power supply to the actuator is interrupted, a return spring is triggered, which closes the valve. The position of the cover of the fire-fighting valve with an electric drive can also be manually adjusted and fixed in any position.

The actuators control the fire-fighting valves upon receipt of electrical signals from a centralized control system or when a temperature sensor is triggered.

When the air temperature reaches 720C, temperature sensors are triggered and irreversibly interrupts the supply of electric current to the drive. After activation, the temperature sensors are replaced with new ones.
