The fire-retaining valve KOZP, KOZK consists of a housing, a damper and a damper drive mechanism.

The housing is a supporting structure of the valve, made of galvanized steel, has rectangular or round flanges for connecting air ducts and fixing to a building structure. Slats are installed in the inner cavity of the housing, on which the sealing material is placed, forming supports for the closed flap. In order to reduce the heating of the outer surface and protect the drive, the inner surface of the valves is treated with a flame-retardant swelling coating (except KOZP). For inspection and maintenance of the internal cavity of the valve on both sides there are hatches with a removable cover (only in the KOZP). The flap is made of sheets of refractory material. A thermal sealing tape is installed along the perimeter of the flap, which serves to seal the gaps between the housing and the flap in case of fire. The axles are rigidly fixed inside the flap. The rotation of the flap is carried out in sliding bearings fixed in the valve body.
